Full course description

Our nation is facing an infrastructure crisis. More than 220,000 bridges in the U.S., representing 36 percent of the national bridge inventory, need major repair work or should be replaced. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill will direct about $27 billion over the next 5 years to repair or replace many of these bridges, representing the single largest bridge investment since the construction of the interstate highway system.

To responsibly implement this funding, bridge owners and designer must construct cost-effective and resilient structures to meet the increasing demands placed on our nation’s infrastructure. With new innovative materials, designs, and protection systems available, the American steel industry is well positioned to build sustainable bridges that will last well into the next century – and possibly beyond.

The National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA),  the Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance (SSSBA) and the University of Wyoming are co-hosting a five-part webinar series for bridge owners, designers, faculty and students to provide educational information and certificates of completion to kick off your summer. A distinguished panel of industry experts has been assembled to present. The five webinars are free of charge and will cover topics essential to the design and installation of steel bridges.
